The Artist

From the time I was a young girl I have always truly loved creating. I was inspired to continue my love of art from my grandfather. He intricately painted bird houses and would give them to my sister and me. He showed me how to paint and from that day on I promised myself that I would practice and learn everything I could to become a better artist. I love to use vibrant colors, intricate details and bring life to everything I create. I particularly love to paint animals while experimenting with different fur textures so that any viewer will feel like the picture is alive. With each piece that I have created, there are many stages of planning to create something utterly beautiful. I put my heart into everything I do whether it be a brushstroke or sketch of a pencil.  For several years, I have only created 2D art pieces such as acrylic paintings, collaging or graphite.  More recently I branched out into something entirely unique when I volunteered for the theatrical arts department. After working behind the scenes of my school's musical last year, I realized how much of this world I knew so little about, and wished to learn more. I was able to learn more about each position within the theatrical world experiencing it all firsthand from prop master, spot, stagehand, light board operator and stage manager.  Something I take pride in is that everything I do I always give 100 percent and persevere no matter what it is. For me, I was able to learn, design and create many forms of art and find a new passion in the theatrical visual arts.
